The historic G.M. Lawrence House, c. 1828, was built by shopkeeper and postmaster George M. Lawrence, the son of Jonathan Lawrence, Jr., one of Washington’s most trusted officers in the Revolutionary War. On the market for the first time in 40 years, this expertly renovated Greek Revival structure is perfectly sited on 3.1 parklike acres in the historic hamlet of Palisades, with a southern exposure and lots of light steaming through the large windows.
